RESPECTING KEY RESOURCES

We believe that growing almonds should be a sustainable practice, which is why all the orchards we manage are enrolled in the California Almond Stewardship Program, an industry-led sustainability effort that encourages best practices in almond orchards regarding water usage, pollinator health and safety, harvest practices and more.

Water

All of our orchards have either drip irrigation, microjet sprinklers, or a combination of the two. These irrigation systems have allowed the California almond industry to reduce the amount of water used to grow a pound of almonds by 33%.

Air quality

We have converted nearly all of our diesel pumps to electric and have 22 solar installations on our ranches and at our processing plant.

Pollinator health

We have implemented programs to enhance biodiversity and pollinator habitat in our orchards, and use Integrated Pest Management practices to inform our pest control decisions.
